It's very simple and fully automatic. Just open the Ding Dong Ping Pong app on your smartphone and click the table tennis racket icon for your reservation to open the front door when you arrive. Please note that the door can be opened starting 15 minutes before your booking.

Yes, you can. This is possible thanks to the new digital PayPal Card, which PayPal has been offering for free since June 2025.

If you haven't activated the PayPal Card yet, follow these steps (it takes 30 seconds):

1. Open the PayPal app.
2. Tap the 3 lines in the top left to open the menu.
3. Select Contactless Payments.
4. Follow the instructions in the PayPal app to complete the activation.

If you have already activated the PayPal Card, proceed as follows:

1. Open your PayPal app.
2. Tap the Wallet tab at the bottom.
3. Tap PayPal Card in the top right.
4. Tap the eye icon on the displayed PayPal Card.
5. Copy the PayPal credit card details (card number, expiration date, and CVC number).
6. Launch the Ding Dong Ping Pong app.
7. Tap the Account tab.
8. Tap Account Information.
9. Tap Payment Information.
10. Enter your PayPal credit card details here.

Once you have entered all the details, every booking will be charged to your PayPal account. You must confirm bookings made with the PayPal Card via the PayPal app—PayPal will send you a notification to your phone as soon as you book something with us.

Some phones and credit cards may cause issues with bookings. It's important to ensure that the credit card you're using is enabled for online transactions—also known as the 3D Secure (3DS) procedure, an EU directive.

Online banks like DKB, Revolut, and N26 offer credit cards that are enabled for online transactions by default. Conventional banks, such as Sparkassen, Volksbanken, or Deutsche Bank, may need to enable their credit cards for the 3DS procedure if this hasn't been done yet.

If the 3DS procedure is activated, you will be notified on your phone by your bank's 3DS app to confirm the booking with your card. If you run into issues with this confirmation process, try restarting the Ding Dong Ping Pong app and attempting the booking again.

Instant Replays are about 30-second recordings of your rallies that you can save. To create one, just tap the red button on the tablet below the TV.

After your session, you can watch the replays in the app by tapping on Reservations -> History -> your booking.

When you first sign up, you get 10 free Instant Replays. Each additional replay costs 50 cents. The remaining number of free replays will be shown on the tablet as soon as you tap the red button to record.

You can enter the hall 15 minutes before and up to 30 minutes after your booking. Of course, you can change and take enough time to prepare.

No, you don't. We have really great rackets and plenty of balls available for you. However, you're more than welcome to bring your own equipment if you prefer.

Yes! You can bring up to four people (including yourself) at no extra cost. The price depends on the time of day and the size of your group. If you'd like to bring more people, please email us at kontakt@dingdongpingpong.club to inquire about pricing.

Currently, there are no showers. Since our hall is autonomous and operates without staff, we've decided against the additional complexity and risk that unisex showers could bring in an unsupervised environment.

Yes. It's small but convenient. You're welcome to change in our lockable restroom at the very back of the room. Hooks are incl.

Yes. You can do this directly during the payment process in the app. There you'll find a drop-down menu where you can select your preferred table, as long as it hasn't already been reserved by someone else.

The default setting is Automatic assignment. This means the system will assign you a table as soon as you enter the hall (up to 15 minutes before your reservation).

Yes! You can extend your reservation as long as the table is still available after your booked time. Simply use the app to book the extension.

If you stay at the table for more than 5 minutes, the system will automatically charge you for an additional 30 minutes. So, please be sure to leave the table as soon as your reservation ends.

You're welcome to stay longer to get your things or freshen up, but the table itself must be vacated within 5 minutes after your booking ends. If other people are waiting for their reservation, you must clear the table immediately. We're sure you wouldn't want to wait forever, either.

Yes, you can do this in both the iOS/Android and web apps. To delete your account, go to the Account tab -> Account Information, and then select Delete Account.

Yes. You can easily cancel your reservation at app.dingdongpingpong.club/reservations (the table tennis racket icon) using the "Cancel reservation" button. Cancellations up to 12 hours before your reservation are free of charge. After that, up to 2 hours before your reservation, a minimum fee of 5 Euro/hour will be charged. For a cancellation within 2 hours, you will be charged 5 Euro/hour less than the amount intended for your reservation in the form of a credit. The reason for this fee is that we most likely won't be able to sell this time slot and another player couldn't play during the reservation. In any case, please cancel if you cannot make your appointment. We appreciate it.

We employ an external security company that monitors the hall around the clock. This company is directly connected to our hall via a CCTV camera system and a built-in speaker system.

Uh, no. Have you ever been allowed into a movie theater for free just because there were still seats available? Not without a reservation—you have to reserve a table to use it, even if it's empty. Overstaying your table time can lead to a penalty.

Nope, absolutely not. Neither smoking nor vaping is allowed. This is a place for the whole family. If you are caught doing so, your account may be suspended and a fine can be imposed.

No. We don't offer any alcohol, and bringing your own is not permitted. This place is intended to be safe and enjoyable for families as well. Violations can result in your account being suspended.
